DIA DE REYES

=================================================================

The story of the three wise men, also known as the Magi or the three kings, is a biblical tale from the Gospel of Matthew. According to the story, a group of scholarly foreigners from the East traveled to visit Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh 1. The Bible does not specify the number of wise men, nor does it call them kings. The three magi have been interpreted as kings in many cultures 2.

The gifts presented by the wise men are said to have special symbolic meanings. Gold is believed to signify Jesus’ status as the “King of the Jews,” while frankincense represents the infant’s divinity and identity as the Son of God. Myrrh is said to touch upon Jesus’ mortality 2.

The story of the three wise men has made a lasting impression in the Christian imagination and is often depicted in art and literature. Many Christmas carols make mention of the three kings, who follow a star and come to pay homage to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem 2.

VCF STORIES::: LOS REYES VISIT TO COLORADO

Once upon a time, in the small mountain villages of Colorado, the three wise men from the East arrived on a cold winter night. They were on a mission to find the newborn king and present him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The wise men had been traveling for many weeks, following a bright star that shone in the sky.

As they journeyed through the mountains, they encountered many challenges. The snow was deep, and the wind was bitter. But the wise men persevered, driven by their faith and their desire to see the newborn king.

Finally, after many days of travel, the wise men arrived at the first village. They were greeted by the villagers, who welcomed them with open arms. The wise men shared their story with the villagers, and the villagers were amazed. They had never heard of a king being born in their land.

The wise men spent the night in the village, resting and preparing for the next leg of their journey. The next morning, they set out once again, following the star that led them to the next village. And so it went, as they traveled from village to village, spreading the news of the newborn king.

At last, the wise men arrived at their destination: a small stable in Bethlehem. There, they found the baby Jesus, lying in a manger. They presented him with their gifts, and they knew that they had found the king they had been seeking.

The wise men returned to their homes in the East, filled with joy and wonder. They had witnessed a miracle, and they knew that the world would never be the same again. And so, the story of the three wise men lives on, inspiring people of all ages and all walks of life to seek out the light that shines in the darkness .
